These Terms explain the rules for using Veridose.

We have tried to make them readable. They are still legally important, so please read them carefully.

Veridose provides digital tools designed to help people, families and organisations manage, understand, verify and selectively share information, evidence and training records.

Where these Terms refer to Veridose, we, us or our, they refer to Veridose as operated by Trent End Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

Our company number and registered office are published through our legal and company information once verified in our compliance record.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice and any additional terms that apply to a particular Veridose service.

You may use the publicly available parts of Veridose without creating an account.

Some features require an account, verification, an organisation relationship, a subscription, completion of training, or another appropriate level of access.

You must use Veridose lawfully and reasonably.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, organisations, Veridose or the integrity and security of the platform.

Veridose may present information relating to medication, prescriptions, disability, accessibility, health, training or other sensitive subjects.

Unless we explicitly state otherwise, this information is provided for information and support purposes.

Veridose does not replace a doctor, pharmacist, other healthcare professional, solicitor, emergency service or other appropriately qualified professional.

You should not start, stop or alter prescribed treatment solely because of information presented through Veridose.

You must provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account.

Where an account is created for an organisation, you must have appropriate authority to create or operate that account.

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to keep your login credentials, PINs, access codes and other authentication information secure.

Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Veridose uses role-based and purpose-based access controls.

Different users may therefore see different features or information.

For example, an individual, parent or carer, venue employee, organisation administrator, Veridose staff member and authorised verifier may each have different permissions.

Having a Veridose account does not automatically give you access to another person's underlying evidence.

Where Veridose provides selective disclosure, a receiving organisation should ordinarily receive only the information required for the relevant purpose rather than unrestricted access to the person's underlying records.

Some Veridose services may allow an appropriate parent, guardian, carer or authorised representative to manage information relating to another person.

The person creating or managing that relationship must have an appropriate lawful basis or authority to do so.

We may request evidence of authority where appropriate.

Access arrangements may be reviewed, restricted or removed where authority changes, becomes disputed or can no longer reasonably be established.

Veridose may provide courses, lessons, assessments, training records, badges and certificates.

A certificate confirms what Veridose states on that particular certificate, such as successful completion of a specified course or assessment.

It does not automatically prove professional competence, statutory qualification, regulatory approval or suitability to perform work unless the course expressly carries that recognised status.

Training content is intended to improve knowledge and understanding. It does not replace any training, licence, qualification, supervision or competency assessment required by law, a regulator, an employer or a professional body.

Where an assessment is required, users must complete it honestly.

We may invalidate an assessment, badge or certificate where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, impersonation, manipulation, technical abuse or another material breach of these Terms.

Certificates may include identifiers or verification mechanisms allowing their validity to be checked.

A valid verification result confirms the status represented by Veridose at the time of the check. It should not be interpreted more broadly than the information displayed.

Where appropriate, certificates may expire, be superseded, be revoked or require refresher training.

Additional conditions may apply where Veridose is used by an employer, school, venue, healthcare-related organisation, training customer or other organisation.

Organisation users must only access personal information where they have an appropriate purpose, permission and lawful authority.

Access must not be carried out merely because the technical ability to access information exists.

Depending on the particular service and processing activity, Veridose and an organisation may act as independent controllers, joint controllers, or controller and processor.

The applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements should define those responsibilities rather than assuming that one relationship applies to every use of Veridose.

We may require an organisation to enter into additional terms, a data processing agreement or another appropriate agreement before particular functionality becomes available.

Veridose is designed around the principle that people should ordinarily disclose what needs to be established, rather than unnecessarily distributing all of the evidence behind it.

A Veridose verification means that the evidence or information relevant to that particular status has been checked using the verification process applicable at that time.

It does not mean that Veridose guarantees every fact about a person, document, organisation, medication or circumstance.

A verification must therefore be interpreted according to its stated scope.

For example, confirmation of an accessibility-related status should not be treated as unrestricted disclosure of a person's medical history.

Access to underlying evidence may be restricted even where a verification result can be shared.

Where a recipient only requires confirmation of a status, Veridose may deliberately provide that result without disclosing the documents or sensitive information used to establish it.

This is a privacy feature, not an indication that evidence does not exist.

Circumstances and records change.

A verification may therefore expire, require renewal, be superseded or be withdrawn where the information supporting it is no longer sufficiently current or reliable.

For security, accountability and privacy purposes, Veridose may maintain records of significant activity including verification actions, sharing events, administrative changes and access to particularly sensitive information.

The handling of those records is explained further in our Privacy Notice and internal retention arrangements.

Some Veridose services are free and others may require payment.

Where payment is required, the applicable price and material payment conditions will be shown before purchase or set out in the relevant organisation agreement.

Prices may change.

A price change will not retrospectively alter a completed purchase unless this is expressly permitted by the applicable agreement or required by law.

Additional subscription, cancellation, renewal or refund terms may apply to paid products and will be presented where relevant.

Nothing in these Terms removes statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Veridose will continue to evolve.

We may add, modify, replace or withdraw functionality where reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, operational or product reasons.

Where a material change significantly affects an existing paid service or users' legal rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Veridose, applicable law, regulatory expectations or our business.

The current version and its effective or review date will be published on this page.

Where a change materially affects existing users, we may provide additional notice.

We work to keep Veridose reliable and secure, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security incidents, upgrades or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Subject to those rights and any additional agreement that applies, Veridose is not responsible for decisions made independently by third parties merely because information, training or a verification result was provided through the platform.

You may stop using Veridose at any time.

Where account deletion is available, deletion does not necessarily mean that every record can immediately be erased.

We may need to retain certain information where required or permitted by law, for security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, establishment or defence of legal claims, or another legitimate retention requirement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to consumers in other parts of the United Kingdom.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any jurisdictional rights that cannot lawfully be restricted by contract.
